The scope of the practice includes exploring the primary human abilities of thought, movement, voice, emotion, imagination, and play. The techniques and exercises are borrowed from, or developed out of, training methods from theatre, dance, singing and clown work. A prerequisite for this series is to attend one of the full day introductions. While this can be viewed as an intensive professional development, your curiosity is a primary prerequisite. Participants will work at their own pace, governed by their experience level, and the place they are at physically and emotionally on the day. The initial gateway to see if the practice is for you is a one day (7 hours) introduction workshop. This is a pre-requisite for evening classes which build skills over time. Kinetic Connection introduces terminology, new language and frames of reference to assist in mapping the complex territories encountered within the worlds of experience and expression. The work may augment your present practice(s) with discernments not usually discussed or recognized. These distinctions will likely enable you to clarify the references that your work currently relies upon. The class environment is respectful of small steps and extensions with a focus on integration and building strong presence, resilience, agility and compassion.
